I am a bit disappointed with the powdercoat quality. The bars have already chipped, the first being from tightening the wiring housing. Hopefully everyday wear and tear will not deteriorate the bars further.

Licks response - powdercoat is a very strong finish and should be able to withstand a fair amount of handling and use. We have not had any complaints with respect to chipping of finish on any of our bars. That being said, perhaps there was some sort of residue that did not get completely sand blasted off of your particular bar prior to the coating process.
