Licks is co-sponsoring the Hippy Killer Hoedown in southern Cali along with a host of other cool hardcore vendors. The Hoedown is Kutty Noteboom’s 2nd annual event. After about 450 riders descended on Kutt’y house last year and took up residence in his back yard for the evening, he has secured a more neighbor friendly location!!!
The 2nd annual howdown will belocated held at the Wild West Arena in Winchester California. Featured will be live bands and Danny G will be spinning through out the day. There will be a custom bike and car show with special one off trophies. AMEN…. there is also a full bar on the location and there will be food to purchase.
For any of you wishing to stop by and say hello, Licks will be located next to Chopper Dave and Loser Machine in the line up of vendors. Hope to see everyone there!!
We have known and done business with Bill Dodge– AKA “Bling” for years now. Well…we happened to have an item Bill makes that we wanted to use on a current shop build, so we gave him a shout and he sent it out to us. When the package arrived we just had to laugh at the JJ sticker attached…for those of you not aware Bill use to work for Jesse James.

Ok here’s the deal…. AJ and I started Licks way back in 2002. Over the years we have scrimped, saved, guerilla marketed, swapped services, bartered, traded parts, and even exchanged a few sexual favors to help build this business into what it is today. We have seriously worked our tails off for the better part of a decade and are very proud of the business we have built. We have grown from working off a milk crate in AJ’s garage to a nationally recognized business that has customers and friends from coast to coast and beyond.
Some of the most effective marketing tools we have used to get our name out over the years have been very basic. Keeping with this theme, we decided to run a contest to launch our new sticker design. What we are asking, is for you guys and gals to slap the “Disturbing the Peace” Sticker up wherever you think appropriate OR inappropriate for that matter…and snap a photo of your work!! Once you have the photo, email it to us at licksinfo@gmail.com. We will continually update the website with customer photos and select winners at the end of the month.
We are looking for originality here folks…think bizarre, naughty, daring, out right RIDICULOUS!! The best of the best will get a Licks T-shirt and Hat. Happy sticking…
Important Note — How to Get Your Stickers
EVERYONE who purchases and item on the website will receive a sticker when their package is shipped and will be eligible for the contest.
Last year, the first Hippy Killer HoeDown brought over 450 riders to Hemet. It was a one-day event throw on a Thursday! This year we can only see the numbers rise, as it will be held on a Saturday. Kutty has secured a sweet location for the second Hippy Killer HoeDown for April 17, 2010. It will be held at the Wild West Arena in Winchester, Ca. He will also be providing a few live bands and Danny G will be spinning through out the day.
There will be a custom bike and car show with special one off trophies. If you have a special talent and would like to be apart of the trophies, let us know.
There is a full bar on the location and there will be food to purchase. No coolers are allowed on the property.
