Licks Cycles-Now The Exclusive Distributor for Baxter Motorcycle Xpegs & Kicker Pedals

Licks Cycles and Baxter Motorcycle join forces to kick some style into your Ride!

Baxter Motorcycle has designed a set of platform footpegs featuring classic Primo BMX pedals. The adaptor brackets are machined from steel and adhere to the highest specs. Not only do they look bad ass, they work even better! They are designed to be securely tightened while allowing the platform pedals to rotate freely.

Imagine the full rigid support of a sleek solid pedal, while also having the ability to adjust your foot position on those long haul rides. The performance of these footpegs is like nothing else on the market. Best of all they are made in the USA!!

♦  Fold Up XPEGS fit all stock HD and most custom controls set-ups. Available in Black, Silver or Red. (sold in pairs).

♦  Kicker pedals are also available in Black, Silver and Red (sold single).

Licks Co-Sponsors the Biltwell Bash

In 2009 we’re getting back to basics. Here’s why…

The Biltwell Bash is a chance to get back to basics. No vendors, no anvil tosses, no wet t-shirt contests and no bullshit. Just a cool place off the beaten path to ride your bike, pitch a tent and drink some beer. What’s in it for us is the same thing that’s in it for you—good times on old motorcycles with great friends.

The Date:
April 17-19, 2009

The Place:
Lake Skinner Park of Riverside County is ten miles east of Temecula, CA. This rustic venue has portable toilets, power and water, BBQ and bonfire circles and a shaded commons area with picnic tables. A convenience store (beer!) and café (breakfast!) are located within walking distance of our camping area. We’ll add some photos and maps of good riding over the next few weeks.

Satellite View

Schedule:

Friday, April 17—
12:00 pm—10:00 pm Rider/Camper check-in at Lake Skinner main gate

10:00 pm Gates locked, Motorcycles off

Saturday, April 18—
All day Riding and wrenching

6:00 pm After Hour Choppers BBQ and bike show awards

10:00 pm Engines off

Sunday, April 19—
12:00 pm Checkout time

The Price:
Thanks to the support of some very generous sponsors, the Biltwell Bash is free. You do not need reservations.

There are about 70 actual sites in the cul-de-sac-shaped group campground. Spots are first-come, first serve. Motorcycles only in this area and you’ll have to share your space with others who arrive later. Cars can park in the overflow lot about 50′ north of the camping area.

Our advice: Pack light, ride fast and show up early on Friday, April 17.

If you don’t want to camp, Google Temecula hotels.

The Rules:
The Biltwell Bash is open to all kinds of people on all kinds of bikes, but it is intended for riders who build their own machines, especially old funky ones. There’s no swimming in the reservoir next to our camping area, and if you get caught they rangers may ask you to leave. No one is impressed with fireworks or late night burnouts, so don’t be a jackass.

The Bike Show:
Entry is free, and every bike that was ridden to the event will be eligible. Prizes will be awarded to the top three bikes on display, and trophies will be presented around the fire pit during the BBQ Saturday evening.

Thoughts About the Economy.. Anyone??!@

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm

clock

(MADE IN JAPAN )

for 6 am.

While his

coffeepot

(MADE IN CHINA )

was perking, he shaved with his

electric razor

(MADE IN HONG KONG ).

He put on a

dress shirt

(MADE IN SRI LANKA ),

designer jeans

(MADE IN SINGAPORE )

and

tennis shoes

(MADE IN KOREA )

After cooking his breakfast in his new

electric skillet

(MADE IN INDIA )

he sat down with his

calculator

(MADE IN MEXICO )

to see how much he could spend today. After setting his

watch

(MADE IN TAIWAN )

to the

radio

(MADE IN INDIA )

he got in his

car

(MADE IN GERMANY )

filled it with

GAS

(from Saudi Arabia )

and continued his search

for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end

of yet another discouraging

and fruitless day

checking his

Computer

(Made In Malaysia ),

Joe decided to relax for a while.

He put on his

sandals

(MADE IN BRAZIL )

poured himself a glass of

wine

(MADE IN FRANCE )

and turned on his

TV

(MADE IN INDONESIA ),

and then wondered

why he can’t find

a good paying job

in AMERICA .

WTF…doesn’t anyone get it?!
